Jar Jar 1.1

This is still a preliminary version of the head of Jar Jar Binks from Star Wars Episode 1. I'm trying to develop a more sophisticated version with longer ears and better eyes. It is already improved in regard to the folding sequence.
Check out the new improved version which is a little bit more difficult to fold.



You have to start with a fishbase. If you are using two-coloured paper, the colour of the skin should be outside, colour of eyes and inside of ears should be inside.


Step 1

1. Mountain fold the model in half.

Step 2

2. Squash fold. Repeat on the other side.

Step 3

3. Valley fold the flap down as far as possible and flatten the model along the folds shown in close up.
Alternatively you can inside reverse fold the inner flaps along the shown creases and then fold the flap down.
Repeat on the other side.

Step 4

4. Inside reverse fold the two flaps down to the middle.

Step 5

5. Sink the top point. This step is not necessary but makes it easier to open the model in the end.

6. Swing the flap back up along existing creases. Repeat on the other side.
